Dear Prospective Varsty Kickline Member:

Kickline try outs will take place on Monday August 19th and Tuesday August 20th from 10:00am to 1:00pm for grades 10-12th only.  

On Monday August 19th all trying out will learn a routine comprised of jazz, kick and hip hop styles; as well as anything else that may prepare them for their try out.  On Tuesday August 20th, all will perform the routine learned, go across the floor and do some movement in the center.  Tuesday will be the official try out. Kickline is a club sport that does not carry any freshmen on the team.

For both days you must wear a white t-shirt or tank top, sports bra, black spandex shorts or black leggings, (nothing baggy) socks and sneakers, no gum chewing, no jewelry, and hair is to be pulled securely off your face at all times.   Remember you are in a try out and you will be judged accordingly. 

Please be prepared to start our season on Wednesday August 21st as we start training right away for upcoming varsity football games and performances.  Summer practices will go from Wednesday August 21st to Friday August 30th from 10:00am to 1:00pm with weekends off.  Please bring plenty of water and light healthy snacks.  

School year practices will be held on Monday’s and Wednesday’s after school until 5:00pm, as well as every other Friday morning from 6:30am to 7:45am before school.  All practices must start and end promptly.  Practices may be added or changed at any time if needed as we strive for our best performance always. Varsity Kickline runs for two seasons , fall and winter.  If you make the team you are expected to participate in BOTH seasons.

Clearance for all trying out must be done through the Appryse system prior to Monday August 19th.  YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TRY OUT IF THE APPRYSE PROCESS IS NOT COMPLETE!  Please make certain and double check your information is correct.

In preparation for try outs you should be stretching, running, keeping up your strength and conditioning, as well as your dance technique and training.  All trying out must be a sophomore, junior or senior.  Freshman cannot try out, no expectations.
