In another highly contested game, our Friars doused the hopes of the Kellenberg Firebirds and upheld their undefeated League Record at 5-0 with an 11-1 overall record. Although outsized in the middle and hampered by the loss of Taylor Lawhorne to injury, the Friars played a tough defensive game with crucial minutes provided by Sophomore Synclair Taylor with 4 steals in the press.
The Friars scoring was led by the terrific play of Tamia Lawhorne with 21 points and 7 rebounds. It was a complete team effort with 16 points added by Toni Kinard in her debut start, 15 points by sharp shooter Sydney Taylor, 8 points and 6 steals by Ashia Smith and 5 points, 7 assists and 6 steals by Senior Lauren Hackett.
