Our Friars are came out a little flat against this definitely outclassed team. they let them hang with them for a few minutes and then answered the coaches call to step it up and went on a 10-0 run. Our starters held them scoreless for the remainder of the first period. Our starters only re-entered the game for less than 2 minutes in the second half and were so overpowering that we retired them to cheer on their teammates for the duration.
Sophomore Gianna Santacroce broke out of her shooting slump and poured in 20 points in this first conference game of the season.
