Sacred Heart was fired up for this first game against the Friars. They were out to prove that they could play with us and it showed in the energy in their gym.
 
However, our girls came in to win this game... and proceeded to do so in true Friar fashion with 
lots of heart, hard-nosed defense and great team play.
 
The Friars went up early 18-5 in the first, and we never let them back in the door. Freshman Colleen McCullagh earned her Varsity stripes this night; but it was "Showtime Syd" that led the Friars to this 59 - 41 win over Sacred Heart.
