It was a floor better suited for ice hockey than basketball! Our girls played hard but went down 9 to 15 at the end of the first quarter. Our inability to hit open shots hampered us and although the defense tightened up, we still went down 9 to 5 and 9 to 4 in the next 2 quarters. The hot hand of Caroline Kehoe in the last quarter pushed the Friars scoring up to 9 for the last quarter, but our inability to stop their big from scoring down low sealed our fate as our girls fell after a valiant fight to the Firebirds.
