St. Anthony's Claims Lead In Sixth Inning To Defeat St. Dominic

St. Anthony's snatched the lead late in the game in an 11-1 victory over St. Dominic on Thursday. The game was tied at one with St. Anthony's batting in the top of the sixth when Jack Calla singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
St. Anthony's secured the victory thanks to six runs in the seventh inning. Tyler Podolsky, Calla, Jake Barrett, and Steven Rizzo all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
St. Dominic got things moving in the first inning, when Barrett threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for St. Dominic.
St. Anthony's evened things up at one in the top of the third inning when Marco Ali's sac fly scored one run for St. Anthony's.
St. Anthony's notched six runs in the seventh inning. The big inning was thanks to singles by Podolsky and Barrett, an error on a ball put in play by Calla, and a double by Rizzo.
Barrett was credited with the victory for St. Anthony's. He surrendered one run on one hit over six innings, striking out 11. Joseph Okpych threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Carlos Hidalgo took the loss for St. Dominic. He allowed nine hits and five runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out four.
St. Anthony's racked up 14 hits in the game. Podolsky, Barrett, Cameron Leary, Ali, and Cameron Dunn all managed multiple hits for St. Anthony's. Podolsky led St. Anthony's with four hits in four at bats.
Frank DiMartino went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead St. Dominic in hits.
