Wednesday's game against St. John the Baptist was a heartbreaker for St. Anthony's, as they lost the lead late in a 7-5 defeat. The game was tied at five with St. John the Baptist batting in the top of the ninth when Kyle Chase drew a walk, scoring one run.

St. Anthony's opened up scoring in the first inning.  Steven Rizzo drove in three when he homered.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, St. Anthony's tied things up at five when Jake Barretthomered on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

St. John the Baptist scored four runs in the fourth inning. St. John the Baptist scored its runs on a grand slam by Matt Milone.

Eladio Exposito earned the victory on the hill for St. John the Baptist. He surrendered one run on three hits over two and a third innings, striking out two.

Liam Adipietro took the loss for St. Anthony's. He went two and a third innings, allowing two runs on one hit, striking out four and walking one.

Chase started the game for St. John the Baptist. He lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing five hits and four runs while striking out five and walking zero Louis Stallone started the game for St. Anthony's. He went six innings, allowing five runs on six hits and striking out six

St. Anthony's hit two home runs on the day. Barrett had a long ball in the seventh inning. Rizzo had a homer in the first inning.

Anthony LoCurto led St. Anthony's with two hits in four at bats.

St. John the Baptist saw the ball well today, racking up eight hits in the game.  Giancarlo Giacometti and Matt Lasala each racked up multiple hits for St. John the Baptist.  Giacomettiwent 3-for-5 at the plate to lead St. John the Baptist in hits.
