Friars snatched the lead late in the game in a 6-5 victory of #3 East Meadow on Tuesday. The game was tied at five with SA batting in the bottom of the sixth when Erin Steinert hit a solo homer. She led the Friars with two hits in four at bats.
East Meadow opened up scoring in the first inning. EM scored two runs when Julianna Sanzone homered.
St. Anthony's notched three runs in the fifth inning. Alyssa Seidler and Kacie Dilworth each ad RBIs in the frame
Seidler took the win for the Friars going seven innings, allowing five runs on eight hits and striking out eight. Christine Loeffler took the loss for East Meadow. She went six innings, allowing six runs on seven hits and striking out seven.
