Girls Varsity/JV Track & Field
The team began the season in March with a lot of excitement coming off one of their best indoor seasons. The team set a number of goals for the year and accomplished one when their 4x100 relay ran a season-best at the Penn Relays placing 3rd in the Northeast Championships. The 4x400 ran a personal best at the 54th Glenn
Locks games, the 4x800 followed the 4x400 in running a season-best and made the podium. A number of girls had personal bests throughout the year including Marissa D’Angelo in the pole vault.
Lindsay Yakaboski, Emma Rodriguez, Amanda Dolan, Kiera Udell, Riley Griffith, and Olivia Czoch a freshman emerged as an excellent middle distance group with a bright future.
This past weekend the team dominated the League Championship meet taking first place overall. They look to carry their momentum into the Catholic State Championship Meet. They are hoping to have a number of girls qualify for The New York State Champions meet and the New Balance Nationals.
