2018 Girls and Boys Fall Crew Season

Updated on 06/10/2022

2018 SEASON:
This past fall the St. Anthony’s crew team faced some of their toughest competition yet. On October 13, the team returned to the prestigious Navy Day regatta following a 4-year hiatus. The Girls V8 rowed extremely well and finished ahead of all the NY teams present and The Boys V8 placed ahead of NY power house Shenendedowa.  Both the girls and the boys continued to work hard and improve during the season. Their efforts helped the boys and girls row extremely well at the Head of the Passaic and led to a fourth and third place finish at the Head of the Riverfront.

Both Varsity boat’s performances this fall have facilitated an invite by the Virginia Athletic Rowing Association to participate in the extremely selective Al Urquea Regatta, in Fairfax Station, VA.
The Boys team will graduate 7 seniors this year and the girls will graduate 8 seniors.

2018 Boys MVP Senior Adian Malinowski
         Girls MVP Sara Gould

2018 Boys Academic Team Scholar William Popielaski III
Girls Academic Team Scholar Amanda Nasti

During his tenure as Head Crew Coach, Mr. Lewis has lead the team to 1 State Championship, 8 2nd and 3rd place finishes and several Long Island Championship boats.
