The spring track season kicked off with high hopes—and more than a few rainstorms—but what followed was nothing short of remarkable. We were fortunate to welcome a large and enthusiastic group of girls this year, each one bringing dedication, energy, and grit from March through June. From the very first warm-up, the team mantra rang out loud and clear: “Every day is a work day.”

And they meant it.

From the explosive sprints to the demanding throws, this team demonstrated incredible resilience and strength. Like every season, we faced our challenges—injuries, travel conflicts, and plenty of unpredictable weather—but through it all, our athletes stayed locked in, pushing themselves and each other every single day.

The results speak for themselves. Senior Amelia Dejoie closed out her high school career with season bests in both the 200m and 400m. Sophomore Catherine Savage and freshman Julianna Sampugnaro set new personal records in the 400m. In the 800m, freshman Fallon Siriban led the charge with a personal best, and both Fallon and senior Reilly McKinley led the way in the 1500. Sophomore Alessia Crispo and senior Nicolette Scarpinato crushed their previous bests in the 3000m.

Off the track, the field events delivered in a big way. In the jumps, Kaitlyn Korzonkiewicz and Charlotte Marino impressed in the long jump, while Amelie Demeri led a strong group of pole vaulters. The throws were dominated by Abrianna Mandarino, who stood out in both discus and javelin.

At the NSCHSAA League Championships this past Saturday, the team put up a massive 124 points—one of the highest in program history. Our depth was on full display, with multiple athletes scoring in several events. In the pole vault alone, all six of our athletes earned points—a testament to the team's depth, consistency, and commitment to the “work day” mentality.

As we head into the Catholic State Championships this Saturday at Icahn Stadium, the goal is clear: to chase our 6th straight Outdoor State Title and 13th overall.

With this group, anything is possible—because every day is a work day, and every work day brings success.
