The Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team wrapped up an outstanding 2025 season, solidifying their place among the nation's elite. Facing one of the most demanding schedules in program history, the Friars battled 11 nationally ranked teams from eight different states, proving their grit and skill every step of the way.

A major highlight of the season was an unforgettable trip to Notre Dame, where the team had the privilege of playing two games at Arlotta Stadium, the iconic home of Fighting Irish lacrosse. The Friars rose to the occasion throughout the year, notching key victories over powerhouse programs like Culver Academy, Malvern Prep, and Lawrenceville, each win reinforcing their national standing.

The season reached its peak on May 15th at Hofstra University, where the Friars defeated archrival Chaminade to claim both the Catholic League AAA and Catholic State AAA Titles. This victory marked a historic sixth consecutive sweep of the league and state titles, and the 15th championship under the incredible leadership of Coach Wieczorek.

The Friars closed the season with a 13-4 record and are expected to finish in the top 8 nationally—a fitting reflection of their effort, resilience, and excellence on the field.

Congratulations to every player on this remarkable team, and a special thank-you to our seniors, whose dedication and leadership have left a lasting legacy. The future is bright, and Friar Lacrosse continues to rise.

Head Coach

Coach Wieczorek is a 1986 graduate of St. Anthony’s and in 2000 became the 4th head coach in the program's history.  He is the longest tenured and winningest coach in program history.  He currently holds a 355 and 82 overall record with 15 championships in his 24 seasons. Coach Wieczorek has appeared in the championship game for 24 straight years.  Coach Wieczorek has had the honor of coaching countless college All-Americans, including four NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Tewaarton Finalists and two Tewaarton Award winners.ach
