The Friars Boys Varsity Tennis Team showcased incredible grit, determination, and heart throughout the thrilling 2025 season. With a roster featuring several new players who were still adapting to the intense demands of high school tennis, the team faced a few early challenges. However, fueled by their unwavering commitment and camaraderie, they quickly found their rhythm. Under the inspiring leadership of Senior Emmett Boxer, Captain Sahil Patel, and Bradley Frutcher, the team rallied together to overcome obstacles, culminating in an impressive 6-3 record. Their resilience and unwavering teamwork propelled them all the way to the finals, where they faced off against their fierce archrivals, Chaminade. The match was nothing short of spectacular—intense, fast-paced, and hard-fought—but despite their valiant effort, the Friars came up just a bit short. Yet, their performance was a testament to their relentless drive and sportsmanship. With heads held high and eyes set on the future, the boys are already looking forward to the next season. 

Head Coach

Coach Mccalla is the head varsity tennis coach for both the girls and boys. In his time at St. Anthony’s, he led the Boys to two league championships. In two years as the girls' head coach, the girls have won two championships.
