2018 SEASON:
The 2018 Saint Anthony’s High School Men’s Soccer Team finished the season with a 13-6-1 record overall after a 9-3 record in League play. Despite giving away the first two games of the year, the Friars went on to win 8 straight including impressive wins over LaSalle Academy, Southampton, St. John’s and Chaminade.

The second half of the season was a bit of a roller coaster as the Friars finished the season playing nine games  going 4-4-1 but with solid efforts against Fairfield Prep, Beacon, and Molloy.

The highlight of the playoffs saw the Friars pulling out an improbable win  in the last 18 minutes over St. John’s by coming back from a two goal deficit and winning it 3-2. With the win, the Friars advanced to the League Championship for the 10th straight year.  After splitting the regular season with Chaminade, the Friars could not find the back of the net in the final despite several opportunities.” The team will graduate 16 seniors.

COACH:
The 2018 season was Head Coach Gene Buonaiuto’s 33rd year as the Head Coach of the Boys Soccer Team.  In 33 years coach has led the Friars to 461 wins 124 ties and only 58 loses.

2018 FALL TRYOUTS

Boys Soccer begins with 3 days of tryouts starting on Monday 8/20 .  The times are listed below.  
Please wear a white tee shirt with your name on the back.  
Equipment required: cleats, running shoes, shin guards, and water.
Varsity:  Cy Donnelly Field 7pm-8:30pm

JVA:  Cy Donnelly Field 5pm-7pm

JVB (Freshmen):  Cy Donnelly Field 2:30pm-5:00pm
