Winter season recap
Posted on 03/13/2023
The Boys indoor track team won its' 13th League Championship in a row. They followed that up with a runner-up finish in the Catholic State Championship.
These excellent team showings were led by our very high level distance squad, and strong performances by Christian Oliva in the Shot Put and weight throw, and an individual Championship in the state catholic meet by Matthew Lourenco in the Pole Vault. This coming Saturday, the Friars will be bringing 9 individuals who qualified for the State Federation Meet. To end the season on a high note, the Nike National Championships are the following weekend, where the Friars bring a strong group of 11 boys. We could very well come away with some All Americans.
Congratulations to the Varsity Boys Winter Track Team on a great season.”
