Welcome Coach Carey

The St. Anthony’s Girls Soccer program enters a new era welcoming Mr. Scott Carey as the new Girls Head Varsity Soccer Coach. Coach Carey’s overall goal as Head Coach is to carry on the traditional success of the program and continue establishing collegiate-level players. 

Coach Carey brings with him ten years of coaching experience from Kings Park SC and SUSA FC which will allow him to bring a skill set that embodies a positive environment while continuing to establish a strong program at St. Anthony’s. 

Carey has been teaching at St. Anthony’s for six years in the math department and enjoys the dynamic atmosphere of being both a coach and a teacher. His coaching philosophy emphasizes the core values of hard work, discipline, and teamwork while instilling a willingness to both learn and foster team unity. Carey believes this approach will not only allow the players to grow in their soccer careers but will also allow them to grow into productive and responsible individuals.

As a four year All League and All Country soccer player at Centereach HS and four year starter at SUNY Old Westbury, he understands the dynamics of being a student-athlete at both levels and will provide a cohesiveness that will pave the way toward success.
