2018 SEASON:
The  St. Anthony’s AA varsity tennis team finished the regular season with a 7 and 1 record.  The girls were a cohesive group and played extremely well as a team.

Some of the team’s most impressive results came from the captains and doubles team of Julia Burnbaum and Bridget Smyth as well as team members Sofia Mairorino and Sofia Licata.  Both teams lost only one match throughout the regular season.

In the championship match against the Sacred Heart Academy singles playes Morena Devito, Lauren Hamer and Ivana Nikolic won their matches leading the team to our first AA Girls Tennis League Championship.

The team then went on to the individual doubles and singles state tournament where Hannah Quinn and Kiki Colon advanced to the State championships and placed 4th overall in doubles.  The team competed extremely hard in the State championship coming up just short and losing in a super tiebreak. The team will only loose 3 seniors this year.

COACH:
In 2013 Coach Quinn joined the St. Anthony’s coaching staff as the Girls Tennis Varsity B coach in hopes of developing and growing the St Anthony’s girls Tennis program.  Three years later Coach Quinn took over as the Girls Tennis Varsity AA tennis team and just finished her second year leading a program consisting of 45 girls and won her first League Championship this season.
