Team MVP - Dean Muratore

The 2023 Boys Varsity Golf team returned only TWO starters from last year and entered the season with many questions left to be answered. Continuing to improve all season long, the team earned a 9-1 record earning a share of the league title. We competed in the League championship tournament this afternoon at the Eisenhower Park Red Course unfortunately the team came up just short of their third consecutive league title.

This years' team was led by FOUR Golfers who earned ALL-League Honors during the season. Senior Drew Tonon, Junior Dean Muratore and Sophomores Nicholas Prosa and Finn Tyrer. Those players each earned this distinction with a scoring average in the top 8 in the entire league. Nick Prosa and Finn Tyrer both went 9-0 this year winning every match they played in, completing the Sophomore Sweep. Seniors Drew Tonon, Vin Tipaldo and Junior Joe Mayal each contributed with solid performances all year playing a crucial role in each victory.

Coach Koepplin is finishing his 8th season as the Boys Varsity Golf Coach. Coach Koepplin is a Teacher in the Social Studies department and also an Assistant Varsity Football coach. 

Coach is incredibly proud of each member of this team and the efforts they have made throughout the season to contribute to our success.
