2023 Recap

Updated on 05/31/2023

Team Scholar - Shae Lembo

Team MVP - Amanda Paci

The St. Anthony’s Varsity Girls Lacrosse team ended the year with a 16-2 record and a CHSAA Championship.  They are currently ranked as one of the top 3 teams on Long Island and Top 10 team nationally.

This year’s team played an aggressive and competitive schedule with the majority of their non-league opponents ranked in the Top 20 in the nation. The team learned from the few losses and worked to improve each and every week. This allowed us to end the season with monumental wins of New Canaan, Manhasset, and Sacred Heart in the CHSAA Championship Game.

Our team led the league with Six ALL LEAGUE players.  Junior Amanda Paci was named the  CHSAA Player of the Year and Junior Brooke Long was named the MVP of the Championship game.

While there were many incredible performances from individuals throughout the season, what we are most proud of is how this group bought in to the idea of playing together, as a unit with a team first mentality. Our group’s success can also be contributed to the strong leadership exhibited by our seniors who kept the team together when facing adversity.

Thank you for a great season.

Congratulations to the varsity girls lacrosse team on a great season.
