2023 --Recap--

The St. Anthony’s varsity ice hockey team was able to pull off the improbable and capture their second Suffolk County League Championship and again win the NYS championship in back-to-back seasons. They also finished atop the Catholic High School Hockey League, knocking off Chaminade in their last regular season game to capture first place. The team was led by captains Jack Dlugos, Nicholas D’Andrea, Michael Terry, and Brady Monteleone.  The defensive core of Nick Alamia, Jack Mancini, Dom Castiglione, Anthony Colavecchio, Vincent Cipully, Dylan Cochrane, Damon Valente, and Kyle Jablonsky, along with goaltenders Ryan Burhart and Thomas Ulmschneider led both leagues with the lowest goals against average of any team!

Other notable players responsible for the team's success are Gavin Kata, Thomas Colavecchio, Dylan Smith, Alex Grzesiak, Joe Marchisotta, Joe Lentini, Matt Dann, and Gerard Nealon.

The varsity team will be heading to the USA Hockey National Tournament in Minnesota in late March to represent St. Anthony’s HS and continue their winning season.

Head Coach
Coach Lund is a St. Anthony’s alumni from the Class of ’89 and played for the St. Anthony’s ice hockey program.  Coach Lund has coached the St. Anthony’s varsity ice hockey program for the past nine seasons.  During his tenure, the ice hockey team has won three CHSHL Championships, one New York State CHSHL Championship, two Suffolk County Ice Hockey League Championships and two New York State Amateur Hockey Association State Championships.
