Despite getting a late start on the water this season due to the horrible weather in March, the boys pulled together and had a good season. 

They competed at regattas with many nationally ranked crews and held their own. Led by their captains, Brendan O’Connor, Thomas Morelli and Tommy Holliday, the boys showed up to practice focusing on their mission – to make the grand finals at the New York State Championship. 

Along the way, the varsity eight won the Long Island Scholastic Championship and the other crews took home second and third place finishes. At the New York State Championship, the boys reached their season goal when both the varsity and second varsity eights making the grand finals. The boys varsity eight took fifth and the boys second varsity eight took fourth. While the results were not exactly what the boys wanted, they were happy to move the boys program forward.
