St. Anthony's watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 13-4 loss to Connetquot on Wednesday. Connetquot scored on a home run by Matthew Brown-Eiring in the first inning, a single by Josh McGee in the first inning, and a double by Brown-Eiring in the second inning. The St. Anthony's struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Connetquot, giving up 13 runs. Connetquot got on the board in the first inning. Brown-Eiring homered on a 1-0 count, scoring three runs. Matthew Goodis got the win for Connetquot. He went three and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out eight. Billy Fitzgerald took the loss for St. Anthony's. He allowed five hits and six runs over one and one-third innings, striking out one. St. Anthony's smacked one home run on the day. Jake Barrett had a dinger in the fifth inning. Cameron Leary led St. Anthony's with two hits in two at bats.
